With a revolutionary material and heat-sealing combination, heat-sealed insulation jacketing is now feasible and     cost-effective. CrossSeal™ Insulation Jacketing Product keeps insulation materials dry and functional for the         long-term. A proprietary and leak-tight all-PTFE CrossFilm™ material is seamed together using a fast and effective process that allows for complex shapes and three dimensional designs. The insulation material stays dry and fully encapsulated by the CrossFilm™ material. There is also no concern for escaping of fiberglass or powders into the environment, which is critical for ultra-pure applications such as clean rooms, food plants, and pharmaceutical plants.

The CrossFilm™ material is ultra-light and ultra-flexible with sufficient heat-sealed strength at the straps to anchor heavy insulation pads. CrossFilm™ material is unaffected by chemicals, has no shelf life, and will not corrode.

This CrossFilm™ laminate is designed for the most challenging insulation jacketing applications at a pricing level that is competitive with typical dip-coated materials. In many high-temperature and industrial applications, Hybrid is generally regarded as a material that lasts more than three times longer than dip-coated materials.

Using a proprietary hybrid of PTFE film and fiberglass, this material will simulate an all-PTFE laminate with the stretch and minimal elongation of a fiberglass reinforcement. Unlike traditional PTFE-coated fiberglass insulation jacketing materials, which contain approximately 25% PTFE and 75% fiberglass, Hybrid contains 75% PTFE and 25% fiberglass.

With adhesion values that are significantly greater than dip-coated materials, Hybrid has a highly wear-resistant surface with minimal fiberglass fraying at material edges. It has higher excursion temperature capability than dip-coated materials and it is heat-sealable.

CrossFilm™ Insulation Jacketing material is an all-PTFE material engineered for challenging insulation jacketing service. Since CrossFilm is a 100% PTFE product, it is unaffected by all chemicals, including wet/steam environments. Fiberglass reinforced jacketing is susceptible to chemical attack. PTFE coatings and films will permit the permeation of moisture into the fiberglass. Also, stitching holes will enable the direct flow of fluids into the fiberglass.

The only way to guarantee a corrosion-free insulation jacket is to use an all-PTFE material. CrossFilm Insulation
Jacketing material cannot be chemically attacked, regardless of the environment. In addition, CrossFilm will meet all requirements for flame resistance and clean room specifications. Fiberglass reinforced materials can soak up oils and solvents and become flammable.  CrossFilm Insulation Jacketing material will never become flammable since it does not contain components that would soak up flammable liquids.
