In your opinion, how will the market for technical insulation develop in the medium term?

Energy-efficient machines and production sites are increasingly getting into the focus of politics as well as of society. There is still a lot of catching up to do, which is why we expect a positive development.

Which topics will gain importance for your company?

In our opinion, energy savings and work safety as well as a more pleasant workplace will continue to be important issues.

What novel solutions in this area will you showcase at IEX 2018?

With our Conti Thermo-Protect we offer an insulation that can be processed like dough. It can be used for the easy and complete isolation of complex piping systems with temperatures up to 250 °C.

What distinguishes the new systems and machines?

Our Conti Thermo-Protect, as an unvulcanized sheet, is moldable and vulcanizes on the insulated pipe. After vulcanization a dense insulation remains which is still flexible. In addition, we offer vulcanized molded parts that greatly simplify the insulation of pipes or valves.
This solution can also be used to insulate very complex piping systems, which means that little heat is lost and work safety is increased. The fiber-free insulation also offers great advantages in terms of stability, durability and installation compared to ordinary solutions and opens up new fields of application.

Especially for mechanical engineers who are looking for a solution for complex piping systems and those responsible for work safety, Conti Thermo-Protect is an interesting solution. Thanks to its characteristics, it offers new possibilities in the design and the optimization of facilities.
