IEX - Insulation Expo with new leadership team
Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel appointed new Event Director, Christian Poell new Head of IEX
With a new management duo, Europe's leading trade fair for insulation technology is preparing for the move from Cologne to Nuremberg. In future, Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Event Director, and Christian Poell, Project Manager, will lead the IEX, which will be launched in June 2020 with a modified concept and new formats.
Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel will return to IEX organiser Reed Exhibitions as Event Director after 17 years in the international trade fair business, including eight years as Director of Messe boot Düsseldorf, where he will be responsible for the materials trade fair portfolio.
The new IEX project manager will be Christian Poell, who has accompanied the trade fair since 2014 - when Reed Exhibitions incorporated the former ISO into its trade fair portfolio - as Sales Manager and later as Key Account Manager. The previous project manager Daniel Schäfer will devote himself in future to other tasks within the company.
"With the new leadership team we are bringing together a duo that has many years of expertise in the international trade fair business and has successfully moved large tankers during this time," says Hans-Joachim Erbel, CEO of Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH. A metaphor that applies in a special way to Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel. During his time as Director of "boot Düsseldorf" he succeeded in putting the flagship on a new successful course against the trend in the stormy years of the economic and financial crisis and positioning it as the absolute market leader.
Nuremberg becomes new meeting place for insulators
From 24 to 25 June 2020, the IEX will take place for the first time in Nuremberg, making the Franconian metropolis a new meeting place and trading centre for all aspects of heat, cold, noise and fire protection.
The IEX shows the complete range of materials and processing possibilities: The exhibition spectrum ranges from insulating materials and insulation systems for technical heat and cold insulation to products for sound protection and preventive fire protection, tools, machines, measuring instruments and software solutions.
The move to the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre has met with great approval in the industry. The move offers the IEX above all new design possibilities. In future, special theme areas will provide a clear structure and make exhibitors' innovations on selected topics more visible. These include, among other things, two focus areas dedicated specifically to the application industries of technical insulation and industrial service providers in the sector.
